Privacy Policy

How Slide AI handles the photos you upload, the data we collect, and the choices you have — from your first upload to a finished portrait, ring and all.

Last Updated · September 15, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Slide AI ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use our mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, the "Services"). Our Services let you upload a photo and have our AI place a beautifully detailed ring on your subject's hand — a solitaire, a vintage halo setting, a gemstone cluster, or a simple band of your choosing — while the person, the pose, the original background, and the light of your photo stay exactly as they were.

We take your privacy seriously and are committed to handling your personal data in a transparent and responsible way. This policy is here to help you understand what we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and the choices and rights you have.

By downloading, opening, or using the Services, you confirm that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy and agree to the practices described in it.

Fundamental Privacy Principles

We look after your personal information according to these guiding principles:

Scope and Applicability

This Privacy Policy covers all Services operated by Slide AI, including our mobile apps, websites, and any features, tools, or content that refer to it.

Some Services or features may have their own additional privacy notices. Where applicable, those notices supplement — or, where stated, replace — this Privacy Policy for that specific Service.

Information We Collect

We collect information in three ways: what you give us directly, what we collect automatically when you use the Services, and what we receive from third parties.

3.1 Information You Provide Directly

Depending on how you use the Services, you may share the following categories of information:

You can choose not to provide certain information; however, this may limit your ability to use some features of the Services.

3.2 Information Collected Automatically

When you access or use the Services, certain information is collected automatically, including:

a. Usage Information

b. Device and Technical Information

This information helps us run the Services, fix problems, and improve how they function and perform.

3.3 Camera, Photos, and Media Access

Some features need access to your device's camera, photo library, or media storage. We ask for your permission before accessing any of these.

Camera and photo access is used only to power features you start yourself — such as picking a photo, previewing a ring style, and rendering the finished image. You can turn these permissions off at any time in your device settings.

3.4 Information from Third Parties

We may receive information about you from third parties in the following situations:

Information we receive from third parties is handled under this Privacy Policy.

Image Processing and Your Uploads

4.1 Nature of Image Processing

Our AI studies the visual features of your photo — the pose and silhouette of your subject, the outline and angle of the hands and fingers, and the depth and direction of the light — solely so it can place a ring convincingly on the intended finger and blend it with the perspective, scale, and shadows of your original image.

We do not use your images to identify, verify, or recognize any individual.

4.2 Image Processing Workflow

A typical processing flow looks like this:

  1. You choose to upload an image or media file to the Services.
  2. The image is sent to secure servers for processing.
  3. We analyze its visual features and render the ring style you selected onto the hand, matched to its angle, scale, and lighting.
  4. The finished image is sent back to your device.
  5. Uploaded images and related processing data are deleted automatically once processing is complete.
  6. Brief temporary storage may occur in encrypted cloud environments only for operational reasons.

4.3 Storage and Retention of Uploads

4.4 Sharing of Uploads

Cookies, SDKs, and Similar Technologies

We use cookies, software development kits (SDKs), and similar technologies to operate and improve the Services. They may be used to authenticate you and keep your session secure, remember your preferences and settings, measure usage trends and performance, detect crashes and technical issues, and improve the experience and design of features.

5.1 Analytics Services

We may use third-party analytics providers (such as Firebase Analytics or similar services) to collect aggregated and anonymized information about how the Services are used. This information serves only statistical and operational purposes and cannot reasonably identify any individual user.

5.2 Advertising Technologies

Where the law permits, we may work with advertising partners to show ads and measure how well they perform. These technologies may use device identifiers or similar signals, in line with platform rules and your consent settings. You can manage ad-related preferences in your device or platform settings.

How We Use Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

6.1 To Provide and Operate the Services

6.2 To Communicate with You

6.3 To Improve and Develop the Services

6.4 To Ensure Safety and Integrity

6.5 To Comply with Legal Obligations

Legal Bases for Processing (Where Applicable)

Where data protection laws such as the GDPR apply, we rely on one or more of these legal bases:

How We Share Information

We share information only in limited circumstances and in line with this Privacy Policy. We do not sell your personal information.

8.1 With Other Users

Some features let you share content publicly or with other users. Anything you choose to make public or share may be seen, collected, and used by others. You are responsible for what you share, and once it is public we cannot control how others use it.

8.2 With Service Providers

We work with trusted third-party service providers to help operate, maintain, and improve the Services. They may provide cloud hosting and storage, image and media processing, analytics and performance monitoring, customer support, payment processing, and security or fraud prevention. These providers may access personal information only as needed to do their job and are contractually required to protect it and use it only on our behalf.

8.3 With Advertising and Marketing Partners

Where the law allows and where your consent is required, we may share limited information (such as device identifiers or aggregated usage data) with advertising and marketing partners to measure ad performance, deliver relevant ads, and perform attribution and analytics. We do not share directly identifying information — such as your name or email — with advertisers without your consent.

8.4 With Affiliates

We may share information with companies in our corporate group for purposes consistent with this Privacy Policy, such as operating and improving the Services, keeping them secure, and meeting legal obligations. All such affiliates must handle personal information in line with applicable data protection laws.

8.5 For Legal and Safety Reasons

We may disclose your information when we reasonably believe it is necessary to comply with laws, regulations, legal processes, or governmental requests; enforce our Terms of Service or other agreements; protect the rights, property, or safety of Slide AI, our users, or others; or detect, prevent, or address fraud, security, or technical issues.

8.6 In Connection with Business Transfers

If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, reorganization, asset sale, bankruptcy, or similar transaction, your information may be transferred as part of it. We will ensure that the information remains protected by appropriate confidentiality and security measures.

8.7 With Your Consent or at Your Direction

We may share your information with third parties when you explicitly consent to it or ask us to do so.

Cross-Border Data Transfers

Your information may be transferred to, stored in, or processed in countries other than your own, including places with different data protection laws. Where the law requires, we put appropriate safeguards in place for cross-border transfers — such as standard contractual clauses or other mechanisms approved by relevant authorities. By using the Services, you acknowledge that your information may be transferred internationally as described here.

Data Retention

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, unless a longer period is required or allowed by law. How long we keep it depends on the type of information and why we process it:

Because of technical constraints, deletion may not happen instantly across every system, but we take reasonable steps to remove data in a timely manner.

Data Security

We maintain reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure. These may include encryption in transit and at rest, access controls and authentication, regular monitoring for vulnerabilities and attacks, and internal policies on data access and handling. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we learn of a data breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you as required by applicable law.

Your Rights and Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights over your personal information, including the right to access it, correct inaccurate or incomplete data, request its deletion, restrict or object to certain processing, withdraw consent where processing relies on it, and receive your data in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format. These rights may be limited or restricted by applicable law. To exercise them, contact us using the details in the "Contact Us" section below.

California Privacy Rights (If Applicable)

If you are a California resident, you may have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) or similar laws, including the right to ask what information we have collected about you and the right to request that we delete your personal information. We do not sell personal information as defined by California law.

Children's Privacy

The Services are not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent. If we learn that we have done so, we will take steps to delete it promptly. If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal information, please contact us at [email protected].

Third-Party Services and Links

The Services may include links to third-party websites, services, or content that we do not operate or control. This Privacy Policy does not apply to those third parties, and we are not responsible for their privacy practices. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party services you use.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, legal requirements, or business operations. When we make material changes, we will notify you through the Services or by other suitable means. The updated Policy takes effect on the date shown at the top of it. By continuing to use the Services after that date, you accept the revised Privacy Policy.
